Berlitz is an American company founded in 1878 by Maximilian D. Berlitz, a German immigrant who arrived to the United States in the year 1870. It has over 550 language centers in more than 67 countries around the world. In 2003 Berlitz taught languages to over 280,000 students of all ages through its private instruction programs. More than 6,8 million lessons were given at its language centers to different companies, governments, institutions, schools and universities.What we do

How we do it
Berlitz offers programs to children, adults and companies. Research shows that young children are the most receptive language-learners. Berlitz offers different children’s programs such as Berlitz Kids (for 4 – 11 year olds), Berlitz Teens (12 year olds and up) and Berlitz Study Abroad or ELS (English Language Studies at a university campus). For adults, Berlitz offers , besides the two last mentioned programs, a wide selection of services that go from Total Immersion® to group lessons. For companies Berlitz also offers multiple choices such as; Private Instruction, Total Immersion®, Charter courses, Semi-private, Business Negotiations and Cross Cultural.
